Scott L. Towner started practicing the art of Tae Kwon Do in 1986 at SUNY Fredonia and obtained his black belt in May of 1989.  After earning a B.A. Degree in English, a B.A. Degree in Philosophy, and an Associates Degree in Psychology, he moved to New York City to begin a career as an editor in the publishing industry.  This presented the opportunity to practice at the Headquarters of the World Martial Arts Association located in Brooklyn , NY with Headmaster Michael T. Dealy, 9th Degree Black Belt.

In 1996 Scott met up with an old friend and his wife-to-be, Rebecca Stuart, who was living in Tulsa , OK .  Scott & Rebecca had attended the same high school, were in the same class, and had graduated together in 1986.  In 1997, they moved back to their home towns of Addison , NY and Cameron , NY and were married in 1998.  Scott began managing his father’s Christmas Tree business in 1997 and Rebecca continued her career as a Speech Pathologist.  They now have two wonderful sons, Jesse and Jordan.

Scott started the Addison Tae Kwon Do Club in February 1998.  Addison Central School was generous enough to allow the club free use of the cafeteria and gym as a practice room for several years.  In 2000, the club moved to the newly constructed Addison Community Center where they practice until this day.  Scott is currently a 5th Degree Black Belt with a strong club membership.

Although the martial arts have an Eastern influence, Scott is a born-again Christian who loves Jesus Christ and His Bible.  Scott is a Senior Pastor at Gateway Fellowship Church , has taught Sunday School & Vacation Bible School.
